Fairy Falls on Poki Games
Located in Yellowstone National Park, Fairy Falls is a majestic waterfall. The Fairy Falls Trail is the crown jewel of the park. The Falls, in combination with the surrounding hills, provide a great view of the area. The Falls are also the third largest hot spring in the world, making the Fairy Falls Trail an ideal hiking destination. The Falls are located along the shores of Multnomah Creek. They can be seen best from Stevens Canyon Road.

The Fairy Falls Trail begins just south of the Midway Geyser Basin. The trail is relatively flat, with some puddles and wet passages. It takes a little over a mile to reach Fairy Falls. It is not hard to imagine why this is one of the most popular hikes in the park. After completing the Fairy Falls Trail, you may want to continue on to the Grand Prismatic Spring. The Spring is about a mile and a half away.

The Fairy Falls trail is 2.4 km long and is relatively easy to navigate. It follows the eastern edge of the Midway Geyser Basin. It crosses over the Firehole River on an old freight road. The Fairy Falls Trail veers west through timber. The trail then becomes more rugged towards the falls. It ends at a small pool at the base of a 300-foot tall waterfall.

The Fairy Falls Trail is a good choice for a day hike. It is a relatively flat and easy route to the falls. If you have kids, you may want to consider adding a side trip to the Imperial Meadows. The trail is dotted with lakes and thermal features. There is even a backcountry campsite at the Falls. Alternatively, you may wish to extend the hike by following the trail a bit further.

The Fairy Falls Trail has been known to bring back a number of animals to the area. You may even get a glimpse of elk or bison. Be mindful of your surroundings and don't feed them. The Falls are closed from March 10th through Memorial Day weekend.

The Fairy Falls Trail is the tallest in the frontcountry of the park, and it is the oldest. The Falls were formerly called Ghost Falls. During the 19th century, many famous photographers took photos of the falls. The photograph was later found in the digital archives of the University of Oregon. It has been used to name a pub.

The Fairy Falls Trail is 2.4 kilometers long, but can be extended by looping through Imperial Meadows. You can also hike to the twin buttes for a great view of the gorge. The falls are a great sight to see, but they can be difficult to spot during drier periods. The best time to visit the Falls is early in the morning or during the shoulder season.

The Fairy Falls Trail has the largest parking lot in the park. The lot is about a mile south of the Midway Geyser basin. You can expect to see a large crowd if you come in the peak of the summer.
